Dr Steve Jones has a 1st class BSc degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Leeds. He entered the IP profession in 1986, and qualified in 1989.  Steve trained at Fisons Pharmaceuticals, before entering private practice with a firm in Leicester in 1990, where he became a partner in 1993. He left that firm in 2000 to establish AdamsonJones.  Steve has an extensive patent and trade mark practice, with an emphasis on assisting clients in the biomedical field.  As well as being a Registered Trade Mark Attorney, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, a member of the European Patents Institute, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, and a Foreign Member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

Simon Cooper holds a 1st class Masters of Physics degree from the University of Manchester, where his final year research projects involved study of holographic growth in photorefractive polymer composites and the development of improvements to a demonstration electron accelerator. He joined the firm in September 2001, immediately after graduating, and became a Director and Shareholder in 2010.  Simon is now responsible for the majority of the firm's trade mark and design work.  Simon is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, and a member of the European Patents Institute and of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.  He regularly represents the firm at INTA.

David Gwilliam obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry & Genetics from The University of Nottingham, followed by a Master of Science degree in Cancer Immunotherapy from the same university.  David’s research involved studies into the effect of cytokine signalling on naïve CD4+ T-cell activation.  Following completion of his studies in 2007, David worked in industry, for MedImmune UK Ltd, before joining AdamsonJones in July 2008.
