Speculative applications

Our policy of steady expansion means that we welcome speculative applications from candidates who may potentially strengthen our practice. We are particularly interested in speculative applications for patent and trade mark trainee positions, either graduate or part-qualified. However, we would also be interested in applications from fully-qualified attorneys, as well as from records and formalities professionals. Indeed, we would be interested to hear from anybody who believes that they could bring value to our firm. Candidates should note that, even where applicants hold a higher degree, we expect applications to contain full details of academic history, including GCSE and A-level subjects and grades, and class of first degree awarded.

We offer good working conditions, including newly-refurbished offices close to Nottingham city centre, a competitive salary, a package of flexible benefits and contributory pension scheme. We also take a positive view of flexible working arrangements.

Our recruitment aims
We work as a team, and are committed to excellence in the work that we do. We look for people who share those values: high calibre individuals with a record of academic achievement, who can contribute to the continuing growth of our business.

Our objective is continued steady growth over the coming years. Our preference is to train new entrants to the profession and to instil our values in them.

When we find the right people we aim to retain them. Long term prospects for those who join the firm are therefore excellent.

AdamsonJones is an equal opportunities employer; it is our practice not to discriminate directly or indirectly on grounds of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion or belief, colour, race, nationality or ethnic or national origin in relation to decisions to recruit, select, remunerate, train and promote employees, or in the provision of services to clients.

The majority of applicants for graduate trainee positions find us through www.ipcareers.co.uk. If you are not already aware of that site, we suggest that you take a look at the general information on the patent profession available through Inside Careers here and our Employer Profile.
