Examination Success

We are delighted to announce that Eilidh Benest has qualified as a UK Registered Patent Attorney, less than four years after entering the patent profession with AdamsonJones.  Principal Patent Attorney Steve Jones commented that "Eilidh's success is a testament to the hard work she has put in.  Many candidates take much longer to achieve this qualification".

University of Leicester Festival of Postgraduate Research

AdamsonJones will once again be participating in the University of Leicester's "Festival of Postgraduate Research". The event will take place on 26 June 2008, and we will be sponsoring the prize for the best presentation in Medicine and Biological Science.

UK BioEntrepreneur School

AdamsonJones was delighted once again to sponsor the BioEntrepreneur School held at BioCity Nottingham from 26-28 February 2008.

This exciting venture aimed to identify, encourage and nurture people who aspire to starting and growing a business in the bioscience and biotechnology sector.  The School was open to aspiring entrepreneurs who are planning to commercialise their bio-related idea or who have already started their bioscience business.

Anton Hutter and Eilidh Benest delivered a presentation to the delegates on IP issues.

Steve Jones speaks at Annual Meeting of Association of University Technology Managers

Principal Patent Attorney Steve Jones was one of a panel of invited speakers discussing "Global Patent Issues" at the Annual Meeting of the Association of University Technology Managers in San Diego, California on 28 February 2008.  Steve's topic was "Key Aspects of European Patent Practice".

New Face in our Administration Team

AdamsonJones is very pleased to announce that we have been joined by Ann Wright.  Ann holds the Certificate in Patent Administration awarded by the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, having achieved that qualification in the same year as our Administration Manager, Claire Mountain.  In fact, Claire and Ann attained the two highest grades awarded that year, and we are delighted that we will shortly have both of them in our team.

Examination Success

We are delighted to announce that Simon Cooper has completed his qualification as a UK Registered Patent Attorney.  Simon has already been entered on the list of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office, and is therefore now a fully qualified UK and European patent practitioner.  Commenting on Simon's success, Principal Patent Attorney Steve Jones said "The process of qualifying as a UK Patent Attorney is notoriously difficult, and we are delighted at the great progress that Simon has made".
