Peter Banks holds a master’s degree in Materials Science and Metallurgy from the University of Cambridge. Peter joined the patent profession in 2015 as an Associate Patent Examiner at the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) in Newport, working in a mechanical engineering group. His experience at the UKIPO primarily involved the searching and examination of patent applications in a variety of engineering fields including packaging, tools, composites, alloys, and 3D printing.
Peter joined AdamsonJones in October 2018 to begin his training at the firm to become a Chartered Patent Attorney. Peter brings significant insight into UK patent application process and workings of the UKIPO and assists in all aspects of UK and European patent drafting, searching and prosecution.
