17th April 2014
AdamsonJones, firm of patent and trademark attorneys, welcomes Chris MacDonald to its growing Physical Sciences and Engineering team.
Prior to joining AdamsonJones Chris trained and worked at a London-based firm, where he qualified as a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney. He has several years of patent and registered design prosecution work experience covering a wide range of industries including oil and gas exploration, power tools, medical and healthcare devices, and food packaging.
Chris holds a 1st class MEng degree in Automotive Engineering from the University of Leeds, where he received the IMechE best project and best student certificates and the WABCO prize for Automotive Engineering. Chris has also guest lectured on intellectual property for the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and Queen Mary University of London.
A keen triathlete, Chris recently completed his first marathon in Barcelona and will be hoping to help the AdamsonJones team defend their title in the Robin Hood Half Marathon corporate relay challenge later this year.
Simon Cooper, managing director of AdamsonJones, said “Chris is a very welcome addition to the team. Chris’s engineering background, and his specific experience with a wide range of technologies, will add further depth to our expertise in the engineering sector. We are also in the process of recruiting a patent assistant to the team. This will enable us to meet the increasing demand for our services from engineering companies wishing to protect their valuable intellectual property.”
