We are delighted to announce Nottingham Hospitals Charity as our nominated charity for 2015/16.
This follows a year of fundraising for Practical Action, resulting in the team raising a total of £2,500 for the charity, which uses technology to help around a million people in third world countries break out of the cycle of poverty.
Throughout the next twelve months Team AJ has its sights set closer to home with plans to raise money for Nottingham Hospitals Charity. The charity aims to make a real difference to patients through the provision of improved facilities, specialist equipment, medical research and staff development programmes. The charity helps support NHS patient services across the cities three main hospitals, which serve a population of over 2.5 million people in Nottingham alone and a further 4 million people from surrounding communities.
Team AJ will be undertaking a number of fundraising events, starting with the Robin Hood Half Marathon on Sunday 27th September. This year we are particularly excited to be entering a joint team in the Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge with Air-IT, who are also raising money for Nottingham Hospitals Charity.
Managing director, Simon Cooper along with patent attorney Chris MacDonald and marketing manager Rachel Biggin will be joined by staff representing Air-IT to tackle the 13.1 miles (half marathon) and 1.5 miles (mini marathon) in a bid to raise vital funds for our city's hospital services.
We are hoping to do ourselves and Nottingham proud and welcome any donation you can make. Your contribution will really make a difference to our local hospitals and patients, and will be very gratefully received.
