New EPO President Chosen
2nd March 2010
It has now been confirmed that the new President of the European Patent Office has finally been chosen, after three unsucessful rounds of voting in recent months in which no candidate achieved the necessary majority.
The new President will be Mr Benoit Battistelli, who is currently the Director General of the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI).
Mr Battistelli’s five-year term as EPO President will begin on 1 July 2010.
